Billing Policy
Tintenbar Medical Centre is a Private Billing Medical Practice. A Private Fee is applicable to both face-to-face and telehealth consults. All fees charged are at the discretion of the treating doctor.
Our aim is to provide patients with a clear and consistent billing policy so that patients are fully aware of the costs associated with all of our services.
All consultation fees are payable in full at the time of consultation by cash, credit card or EFTPOS. Accounts will not able to be given. We use Medicare Online to promptly process your Medicare Rebate.
•Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please contact us to cancel or change your appointment time. A fee will be charged for failure to attend or cancellation with less than 2 hours’ notice. (Please note: this fee is not covered by a Medicare rebate). Repeated failure to attend your scheduled appointment without notice may result in you being no longer welcome at the practice.
•Scripts & Referrals
Scripts and Referrals (either new or renewal) will only be provided within a consultation with your GP, this is available via face-to-face or telehealth consult.
•Insurance & Work Cover Claims
All insurance and workers compensation claims will be privately billed on the first visit, UNLESS an approved/active claim number and insurance company details are provided. There is no Medicare rebate associated with this billing.
•Transfer of Records Fee
There is a cost associated with the supply of your full medical records, this will be advised at time of request.
