Dr. Jo Adendorff
B.Med (Hons) FRACGP
Jo graduated from the University of Newcastle with Honours. After completing her basic hospital training in Newcastle, Jo spent five years working in emergency departments and rural communities throughout the Northern Territory and the Kimberley region in WA. Jo developed a keen interest in Women’s Health and Paediatrics, and completed additional training in these areas. She then worked with Family Planning, and gained extensive experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health. Jo inserts contraceptive devices including IUDs and Implanon, performs vulval biopsies, and enjoys consulting on a broad range of issues.
Jo moved to the Northern Rivers region 9 years ago, and has worked at Tintenbar Medical Centre since 2010. She is the GP Representative for BreastScreen, and co-coordinates a local Women’s GP Group. Jo is particularly passionate about breast and cervical cancer screening, and regularly volunteers with organisations working throughout the Pacific to reduce cervical cancer rates.
When she is not at work Jo enjoys spending time with her young family surfing, mountain biking, and fishing.
Dr. Elizabeth Hicks
BMed, Dip PallMed, FRACGP
Elizabeth graduated from Newcastle University, working in the Hunter Valley as a GP before joining Tintenbar Medical Centre in 2015. She has interests in travel medicine (including yellow fever vaccination) as well as women’s health, antenatal shared care and skin cancer. She also has a Clinical Diploma of Palliative Medicine from the Royal Australian College of Physicians and is a member of the RACGP Special Interests (Cancer & Palliative Care) group.
Away from medicine, Elizabeth is a mum to two young children and enjoys cooking sweet treats as well as reading and writing classic literature.
Dr. Clinton Leahy

Clinton Grew up on the North Coast where he attended high school at Richmond River Lismore. Clinton went on to the University of Queensland where he studied science and medicine.
Clinton has been working in Aboriginal/Tropical medicine since 2000. He also subspecialty in Anaesthesiology.
He is passionate about conservation and low impact living and in his spare time enjoys farming, surfing and camping.
Dr. James Williams

After graduating from the University of Leeds I completed my foundation training in Yorkshire, England.
Disappointed with the British weather, I moved to Melbourne where I spent time working in emergency medicine, paediatrics and women’s health. Having decided on GP training I completed my post graduate studies in the Coffs Harbour region. I am interested in all aspects of general practice including men’s health, paediatrics and all chronic conditions.
When not at work you can find me walking the dog, tending to my apiary or attempting to surf.
Dr. Vrisha Ker
MBChB (UCT), LMCC, CCFP (Canada)
Vrisha graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2007. She worked in emergency medicine, primary health care and neonatology before settling into general practice, working in both private and public GP sectors in various parts of South Africa. She furthered her education in Canada by completing her specialist training in Family Medicine while working in rural Canada as a General Practitioner. She is a member of the RACGP and ACNEM with whom she is expanding her education in Nutritional and Environmental Medicine.
She is fascinated by the breakthrough research and science in the field of the human microbiome and digestive health. She is passionate about addressing the root causes of ill health, prevention of chronic disease and strives to restore wellness.
Spending time in nature, travel and experimenting with nourishing foods are the ways she enjoys her free time.

My interest in Psychology began when I was a young woman searching for meaning making and understanding about my life.
I began to explore different modalities and eventually I studied Psychology after a career in Nursing and Midwifery. I view others’ lives as well as my own through the lens of self-discovery and understanding along with seeking of meaning.
I have a long expansive background which is suited to the field of mental health and Psychotherapy. I endeavour to assist others to accept themselves in a way that includes parts of themselves that had previously been unacceptable or not recognized. In this way I seek to encourage clients to have a more meaningful relationships with themselves and others. I have experience working with individuals, families and couples.

She is currently studying certificate IV in Business Management for Practice Managers.
Penny is a Registered Nurse who grew up in the Northern Rivers and has 15 years of experience as a paramedic with ASNSW in Sydney and rural postings. She has hospital experience in Emergency and Mental Health and is passionate about supportive and holistic health care. Penny can help you find evidence based information on nutrition and activity guidelines, smoking cessation and healthy weight management. Her particular interests lay in asthma education, immunisation and preventative health strategies for living your best life.
Office Manager/ Receptionist
Stephanie relocated back to the Northern Rivers in July 2018 with her husband and 3 children after being away for 7 years.
Prior to relocating back to Ballina Stephanie had been working in Darwin, in an occupational health and general practice as acting 2ic. Stephanie’s professional history also includes medical screener, receptionist and
Stephanie hopes to complete a nursing and midwifery degree in the future.
Karen has over 25 years’ experience working as a medical receptionist. Karen worked in both Alstonville and Lennox head medical Centre before coming to Tintenbar Medical Centre in 2008.
Karen is always polite and gentle with patients and is very capable in the office setting. Karen has completed her Certificate III in office administration.
Karen’s hobbies include Tennis, Golf and caring for her grandchildren.
