Health Assessments
Over 75’s
A comprehensive annual health check is recommended for all people aged over 75 to identify any health issues and optimise quality of life. Areas assessed may include but are not limited to lifestyle, mobility, medication, nutrition, exercise, safety in the home, care arrangements and support networks.
45-49 YO’s
A comprehensive health check is recommended for all people aged between 45-49 to identify any health issues and optimise quality of life. Areas assessed may include but are not limited to lifestyle, mobility, medication, nutrition, and exercise.
Workcover Consultations
Some occupations have increased risk of injury or illness, and doctors specialising in occupational medicine aim to ensure that high standards of health and safety at work are maintained.
Occupational medicine may include but is not limited to treatment, management and prevention of injuries, return to work planning, pre-employment medicals and WorkCover consultations.
Please advise staff at time of booking if your coming in for a Workcover consultation. Additional forms may need to be completed before appointment.
Mental Health.
A healthy mind is part of any healthy lifestyle.
A holistic approach to healthcare is important including physical, social, spiritual and mental health. Mental healthcare may include but is not limited to medication management, regular counselling, referral to allied health providers as well as preparation and ongoing management of GP mental healthcare plans.
At Tintenbar Medical Centre we provide an experienced, private and comfortable place to discuss your mental health wth your local GP. Many patients are nervous or uncomfortable discussing their mental health. Your health, privacy and comfort on these matters are our number one priority and we treat our patients mental health in a serious and professional manner.
Chronic Disease & GP Managed Care Plans.
Comprehensive and individualised care plan can ensure that all aspects of chronic disease are managed including goals to achieve optimal health. Chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, osteoporosis, arthritis, chronic pain are amongst the most common conditions that can be supported with the help of a care plan. Some care plan patients are eligible for referral to allied health providers at a subsidised cost.
Motor Vehicle Assessments
Your safety and the safety of other road users are influenced by your fitness to drive.
Various health problems, medical conditions, injuries, disabilities and medications may affect our ability to drive. As we get older we may also notice a change in both physical and mental abilities that may affect our ability to drive.
Minor Procedures.
Modern and hygienic facilities onsite.
Tintenbar Medical Centre has a 2 bed well equipped treatment room where minor procedures are conducted by our doctors and nurses. Procedures include but are not limited to ‘freezing therapy for sunspots and warts, mole removals, treatment of abscesses, ear wax removal, wound reviews, ECG, Spirometry (lung test), and Oximetry (oxygen level).
Psychology.
Our onsite psychologist is here for your mental health and support.
Our onsite allied health partner offers an extensive experience and knowledge of psychological care and advice.
